    Wireless Transmission of Power.--The following offer is contained in sec. 3 of the Rules and Regulations Governing the Aeronautic Competition of the St. Louis World's Fair, 1904:--"One-prize of $3,000 is offered for a successful attempt to drive an air-ship motor by energy transmitted through space, either in the form of electric radiation or in some other form of electric energy, to an actual amount of 1/10 (0·1) H.P. at the point of reception at at a distance of least 100ft. The test must be made on the exposition grounds by experts satisfactory to the jury."
